SAMARITAN HOUSE - HOMELESS SHELTER
The Samaritan House is a sober transitional homeless shelter for men and women near Taunton's Weir section. The property is owned by the Taunton Housing Authority and managed by Catholic Social Services as a homeless shelter through a Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies. It has 20 beds on multiple floors and is staffed 24 hours a day. In addition to shelter, the program offers a wide range of supportive services including assessment, job skills training, budgeting information, and access to mental health and other needed services.
