HERITAGE HOUSE - PROJECT-BASED SECTION 8 UNITS
Heritage House was purchased in 2002 thanks to an award from the Mayor’s Office of Community Development of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
The THA acquired and renovated an existing distressed structure on Fayette Place for the purpose of creating six one-bedroom affordable housing rental units specifically targeted towards homeless individuals.
The Authority had received a McKinley Homeless grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support the project’s operating costs over 10 years. The non-profit program Youth Build assisted the Authority in completing the rehab work.
